Hey dw.

I came back from vacation a week(!) ago, but it took me a few days to get caught up with other shit. I'm finally back in the rhythm of things, and I'm ready to update you!

FYI, y'all, DW only lets me read back 14 days, so if something exciting happened between the 13th and 18th, you'll have to tell me lol

As always with my vacation posts, I'll keep it sparse. I feel like my Instagram is gonna be better to sum up vacation anyway. Our flight into Montana was delayed and we had a 6 hour layover in Dallas, which was really annoying. Our flights home were ALSO delayed. American Airlines is just terrible, and unless its, like, hundreds cheaper, I'm not flying with them again. Time tables appear to be a suggestion with them. ADDITIONALLY, we ran to make a connection, was there /BEFORE/ the 10 minute 'door closes' time, and they had already sold our seats to stand-by folks. Fuck. Them.

We started our vacation in Grand Teton National park. Its a really beautiful place. The mountains look like... what you think mountains are- jagged and snow capped. The week we were there we had great luck with wild life. We saw moose (and a baby!), bears, foxes, marmots, elk, antelope, buffalo, badger, a hummingbird(!) and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. We did a ton of hiking and went to a bunch of breweries, cuz thats what Z and I like to do on vacation. We played trivia at one of the breweries and between just the two of us won second place. Not too shabby :) Grand Teton was very... quiet. Not like, super crowded. I liked that. Which brings me to my next part.

Yellowstone is the disney world of national parks. With good reason- all the geothermal features are /other worldly/. If you haven't been, and you like sci fi, you should go! Most features are not far to walk from the car. Its surprisingly really wheel chair accessible. I told my mom and she said she might take my aunt some year since she's always looking for accessible vacations. But oh my science, yellowstone is *crowded*. Occasionally it feels like I was in line to see a feature, take a picture, and immediately leave. But considering the park only has good weather/roads for like 3 months of the year, I guess it makes sense. Yellowstone was my dream trip, and the other-worldly-ness really lived up to what I wanted. But the crowds were overwhelming at times. However, whenever we went on a hike, even just a half mile away from the parking lot, it usually mellowed out a bit. One hike, to the monument geyser basin, was very steep, but when we got there we had the whole place to ourselves. It was like exploring mars. It was a really cool vacation. We stayed in Gartner which had less stuff, no breweries, so we mostly just hiked. Oh, I went white water rafting for the first time ever. We were paired up with a midwestern family with 2 middle schoolers lol. It was pretty fun, but I'm terrified of getting thrown off the raft still. idk if I'd do it again.

We came home last Saturday. The rest of the weekend was relatively low key. Sunday we went to the green belt. The water wasn't moving too much though.

somehow despite walking 100k steps one of the weeks, i gained 5lbs on vacation e___e oh well. Its funny cuz I thought I had lost a ton of weight, and i def felt great and felt i looked GREAT. turns out numbers are just that. I'll try to not take it as a negative.

I feel like I lost muscle though. silks class tuesday was so. hard. I hope to make it to the gym tomorrow and just condition and stuff. I could hardly invert. I'm not happy about that since I graduated to silks 3 and like, i gotta get my shit together if i dont wanna get demoted.

all my dye washed out since i washed my hair a whole bunch on vacation. I needed my roots done anyway. But my pole teacher, who is also a hair stylist, cant do my hair till NEXT WEEKEND TT____TT i hate my hair rn. and its taking a lot of will power to not just, like, take the dyes in my cabinet and make something happen. Ohhhhhhhhhh well...

Blue had a vet checkup Monday morning (which made me late for work...) Blue STILL has a diarrhea so we're switching steroids. This means I have to give him a shot every other day, which sucks, but I can do it.

I'm finally back in the rhythm of normal life things. idk exactly whats going on this weekend. so you'll just have to wait for next weeks entry.

Oh and i have some gossip shit, but ill make that a separate, locked post ;x cya
