what are you reading wednesday?
Apr. 17th, 2019 10:46 amWhat have you finished reading:
2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke - After the first part, this got really great. Considering all the talk about machine learning and how our robots are racist, a LOT of the sci fi holds up today. They were talking about neural networks and I couldn't believe the book had been written in, what, the 60s?
Not Without Peril by Nicholas S. Howe - This is another HIKERS DIE book lol. What is up with me? These are stories about people dying on the presidential mountains in New Hampshire. Oh my god the guy who wrote this book is O L D. Lots of details that are boring or just don't matter. This book was in dire need of an editor. I was waiting for him to say they tied an onion to their belts because that was the style at the time.
What are you currently reading:
Get in Trouble by Kelly Link - no progress this week. We did a few long drives, but just never picked it up I guess.
City of Thieves by David Benioff - I literally just picked this up. I finished not without peril last night. So I have no clue, but Z read it this week. Its a bleak story about some boys trying to collect a dozen eggs during a famine. Worlds worst easter egg hunt, i guess.
