what are you reading wednesday?
Feb. 26th, 2020 10:30 amWhat have you finished reading?
Lame Deer, Seeker of Visions by Richard Erdoes (Author), John (Fire) Lame Deer (Author) - So, it was a lot more ceremonies towards the end, but the last one, about the peace pipe, was incredibly interesting and good. While maybe it was a little too spiritual for me, I know this sort of spirituality was what Lara believed and it has helped me feel close to her (despite it maybe being a little problematic but ho hum)
Grief Sequence by Prageeta Sharma - a book of poems about someones partner dying and then death. i bought this on a whim, and im not even really a poetry guy. but its been really good. i think i would certainly reread it because theres a lot of good stuff there. poetry requires my brain to be fully present though, which makes it for hard reading before bed. At any rate, her partner gets a fast acting cancer and they thought they had longer but only had about 2 months. its super tragic and sad but also made me think a lot about the role death pays in our lives.
What are you currently reading?
Avatar, The Last Airbender: The Rise of Kyoshi by F. C. Yee (Author), Michael Dante DiMartino - just started this last night. As it stands, we're in the earth kingdom, the last avatar from the water tribe has died, and they're trying to find the next one. Ive wanted to read this book for several months now so I'm excited.
