What are you currently reading?
Axiom's End by Lindsay Ellis - The plot thus far is that we have been visited by aliens, but the government is keeping it hush-hush. Cora, the main character, her father is a wistleblower and leaked to the public about the aliens. Cora isn't fond of her dad. At any rate, another alien comes to the planet, and she makes first contact with it. The prose is pretty good, but relies a little too much on dialogue to move forward the plot. It took a little bit (about 80 pages) to get into it, but now I'm pretty into it. Lindsay occasionally drops little things, though, that, like, are breadcrumbs for her fans. Like she made a joke about 'a whole plate'. Which, haha i guess, but it really took me out of the story for a moment? There's a few moments like this, but I still am into it. I'm already a third of the way through, so clearly I'm enjoying it.
