What have you finished reading?

From Here to Eternity: Traveling the World to Find the Good Death by Caitlin Doughty (Author), Landis Blair (Illustrator) - This was a fun read, although I'd say I knew most of the stories. The electronic buddas in Japan were new to me, as well as the open air pyre in Colorado. So there's something for everyone lol.

His Dark Materials: Serpentine by Philip Pullman (Author), Tom Duxbury (Illustrator) - This is a short story that is written before the two books of dust. Its a lot more of a return to form, but also shows how Pullman was thinking about humans whose daemons can separate for quite some time. It was a fun short read since that aspect of the new trilogy still interests me.

What are you currently reading?

A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick (Author) - This is a decent of an undercover cop fighting drug abusers to becoming a junkie himself. Apparently, this is semi-autobiographical, but I want to finish it before I dive in further, because I don't want to be spoiled. this book has a big CW for misogyny but I believe its coming from the characters themselves as opposed to the author.
