What are you reading Wednesday?
Oct. 6th, 2021 11:30 amWhat have you finished reading?
Wisconsin Death Trip by Michael Lesy (Author), Charles Van Schaik (Photographer), Warren Susman (Preface) - This was pretty fun, and I can see why its a cult classic.
God Complex Dogma by Bryan Lie (Author), Paul Jenkins (Author) - The art in this comic is very blade runner, but the plot is a little... convoluted. Also it was cancelled so idk why Z picked it up.
Understanding Comics: The Invisible Art by Scott McCloud (Author) - I can't believe it has taken me this long to get around to reading this. Its really insightful on the art of comics. Some of this I think is defending a statement most folks agree with now-a-days "comics are art" but also digging into the history and nitty gritty of comics as art was awesome. This was written in 94 but rarely shows it age.
What are you currently reading?
The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King (Author) - ready to dive into the world of dark tower. I'm not too far in, but the gunslinger just lost the trigger fingers on his dominant hand, so that can't be good.
