What are you reading Wednesday?
Feb. 16th, 2022 11:19 amWhat have you finished reading?
Sister Outsider: Essays and Speeches by Audre Lorde (Author) - I feel like I could have benefitted more reading this a few years back, but its a good piece of intersectionality. I'll be interested to hear what Z thinks, he is reading it next.
What are you currently reading?
Beloved by Toni Morrison (Author) - I decided to carry on with Black History Month (even though every month aught to be) and read this one. Apparently, some folks read this in school? Z did. It opens with a sex scene!? This would have never ever flown in my school district. Either way, its not a "good" read, its sad. Its about a woman who escaped slavery and is trying to find her way while also being haunted by ghosts, which is a p on the nose way of representing PTSD.
