Sorry this is so late! the ice storm has kept me busy and also made me lazy lol

What have you finished reading?

The Nice House on the Lake Vol. 1 by James Tynion IV (Author), Alvaro Martinez Bueno (Illustrator) - This is really fucking good. Its set in Wisconsin too, which, ofc makes me lonely as hell. Theyre also in a prairie style home which also makes me homesick. The ... villain??? kinda looks like gaigas. sorry outside of all this, its good shit. 12 people trapped together at the end of the world. will they cooperate or go their own way?

Snow Angels Volume 1 by Jeff Lemire (Author), Jock (Illustrator) - At this point, I will buy anything with Lemire's name on it. This is more of his usual faire- family drama, but its really enjoyable. a family that lives in a long ice canyon has to finally escape after ... something... destroys their village.

Borders by Thomas King (Author), Natasha Donovan (Illustrator) - This is a YA graphic novel about a blackfoot family that wants to cross the so-called-canada boarder. But they cannot. They refuse to say they are Canadian. This is their land despite any imaginary line across it. I really liked this, but I wished there had been a bit more to it. Then again, its YA and I'm not the target demo. This is good tho. Quick read too.

Monstress, Volume 7: Devourer by Marjorie Liu (Author), Sana Takeda (Artist) - This is the best graphic novel going right now and its so so pretty and so so good. At this point it's hard to talk about it without spoiling it. So I'll leave it at that. Things are starting to ramp up though. I'm excited to see where this goes.

Something is Killing the Children Vol. 2, 3, 4, and 5 by James Tynion IV (Author), Werther Dell’Edera (Illustrator) - This is about to become a netflix series. Basically these... monsters are killing children. There are monster hunters that come and help. The monster hunter guild prefers to make sure no one knows about the monsters, which means they'll kill witnesses- even children. One hunter goes rogue cuz they, yanno, don't want to also kill kids. It's good shit. Hopefully the netflix show is good.

What are you currently reading?

Fatale Volume 3: West of Hell by Ed Brubaker (Author), Sean Phillips (Illustrator), Dave Stewart (Illustrator), Bettie Breitweiser (Illustrator) - Idk if I am fully feeling this, but i got the whole thing second-hand. This volume is just about various femme fatales in history, i guess. I'm sure it connects to the main story somehow.
