What are you reading Wednesday?
Mar. 6th, 2024 12:20 pmI've missed THREE! WEEKS! Sorry y'all! But not a lot has changed here.
What have you finished reading?
Be Not Afraid of My Body: A Lyrical Memoir by Darius Stewart (Author) - While beautifully written, I feel like the landing wasn't stuck. But I still really enjoyed it and it was a quick read.
Avatar: The Last Airbender: Azula in the Spirit Temple by Faith Erin Hicks (Author), Peter Wartman (Illustrator), Adele Matera (Illustrator) - I got this at the bookstore, not realizing they were still making Avatar comics. I was terrified by the premise that this was going to be an Azula redemption arc (lest we forget what they did in the Korra comics) but I was happy with it.
What are you currently reading?
The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera (Author) - Did you know Kundera, who writes imeccable prose, wrote this in English and it isn't even his first fucking language? Makes me wanna just never write anything ever again. At any rate, considering where my life is right now, this is a beautifully written book about love and infidelity. My heart breaks for Tereza who seems to tolerate Tomas no matter how much he cheats. I hope she eventually leaves him, but i doubt she will.
Sprint: How to Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just Five Days by Jake Knapp - Its a book for work. Woooo.
