What are you reading Wednesday?
Aug. 22nd, 2024 12:12 amWhat have you finished reading?
Invader ZIM Vol. 10 by Jhonen Vasquez (Author), Sam Logan (Author), C. Maddie (Illustrator)- It ended on a high note, likely because Johnen Vasquez was involved. Glad these were fun and I'm ready to ship these to A.
Viscera Objectica by Yugo Limbo - This was an interesting short comic. At first I thought it was about loving someone who didn't love you back, or loving someone who catered to all your whims. but its about someone falling in love with a puppet. And normalizing the idea that people can fall into romantic love with objects. I'll be honest, I don't get it, but I guess it doesn't bother me. Not exactly what I thought I was getting into. It wasn't bad though. The art is beautiful.
14 poems issue 12 Edited by Ben Townley-Canning - Its so hard to say anything about poetry other than: Its poetry! As with most compilations, some were really good, and some didn't resonate with me as much.
What are you currently reading?
The Invisible Gorilla by Christopher Chabris and Daniel Simons - The chapter I am reading for work is kinda all over the place, and I still dont event understand the thesis of the chapter. But its an interesting enough read anyway that I'm not exactly mad about it.
