What have you finished reading?

Transitional Object by Adrian Silbernagel - Its poetry!

Little Monsters 2 by Jeff Lemire (Author), Dustin Nguyen (Artist) - Lots of lord of the flies vibes. The art was gorgeous. this was really good.

Witchy Vol. 1 by Ariel Slamet Ries (Author) - its YA, and its fantasy and it falls for both tropes. Still this comic was EVERYWHERE so I'd finally picked it up. Its good, but with several asterisks. I'm going to give it to a friend's kid who will prolly appreciate it a lot more.

Prokaryote Season by Leo Fox - This year has started well because this was another phenomenal read that might make candidacy for the best thing I read this year. Its broody, but not too much so, about a dubiously unrequited love triangle, wanting to just be a single-celled organism so life could be easier, and then realizing that love and agony are all worth experiencing. The art is rad, the comic is also funny, and its from silver sprocket. whats not to love here?

What are you currently reading?

Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Changing Worlds by Adrienne Maree Brown - No progress from V this week.

Anthology of a Philadelphia Crybaby by Tiffany Taylor - its poetry, although I feel like it should have been intended as spoken word. The cadence and diction are good.

Come Home, Indio: A Memoir by Jim Terry - I haven't gotten too far into this. I think its about a young American Indian boy coming home to Wisconsin. The letters are hard to read though. I feel like I might be getting old?
