what have you finished reading?:

The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman - this. this felt like one big anticlimax. so like the kids dont even kill god whose name i kept misreading as megatron lol. lyras parents do it which is annoying. uh and then lyra and will fall in love and it helps them realise that the way to fix some weird alternate universe with car people is to sew up all the holes theyve made with the knife. this whole thing was weird. i expected a bit more out of atheist narnia. so like, on the other side, the way young intense love and heartbreak were both written very well, but maybe a little too mature for, as far as i can tell, a pair of 14 year olds. whatever

Cucumber Quest: The Doughnut Kingdom by Gigi D. G. - This is a childrens graphic novel, but it is disgustingly cute. I actually heard about this from one of my friends' kid. Its silly sometimes, in a way that is probably only endearing to children. It'll point out plot holes as a joke and just carry on, which is kind of weird but im rolling with it. the art alone makes it worth it. Ill probably pick up the other books.

What are you currently reading:

Invader ZIM Vol. 3 by Jhonen Vasquez (Author), Eric Trueheart (Author), Warren Wucinich (Illustrator) - Yeah, i know, i know. ill go on the record saying that i like Zim. and I like JTHM. most goth pals are all like "i like the idea but, blahblahblah" and man, whatever. that said, this comic is fucking spendy and im def the only one in the house reading it, so im only getting it used. its just your typical zim tries to conquer the world, dib tries to stop him fare. its like the cartoon never ended but in comic form.
