More porch food

I can't believe this has, somehow, happened more than once.

Yesterday, starbucks showed up on my porch. I let it sit there for 6 hours before taking it in. An iced vanilla latte. Not my style, but I'll take it.

Last night, a chicken burrito shows up. I leave it there, porch light on even to help this person who clearly does not know their own address.

This morning its still there. So I guess thats my breakfast.




Snowball, somehow, got out and into the living room last night. Her and Biggie and Pepper were kind of facing off, mad that they all exist, but not fighting. I moved snowball back in the bedroom. Snowball started growling at Blue, which is kind of normal when she gets riled up, but then she swatted at my eye!! I know she didnt want to hurt me. I know shes just mad. But it hurt, and it hurt my feelings. I am, luckily, okay. And Snowball was being sweet to me, so I think she feels bad too.

I knew this wouldnt go perfectly. just made me feel bad. I feel bad for stressing Snowball out.

Blue goes in for a dental. And I'll schedule Biggie and Pepper's vet appts. busybusybusy. I didn't want 4 cats, especially all seniors, but I know I'm doing the right thing.

My condo is 265-C and I have very specific instructions on how to get from the parking lot to my door, including "The unit has a light shaped like a star in the front window" - this has not stopped drivers from leaving my food on the porch for 265-G on multiple occasions >.< any chance something like that is going on?

I don't think so! I'm just a normal house, next to two other normal houses.

GODS. when will complexes STOP DOING THAT SHIT THO. I lived in a unit 158F, but there was also a unit just called 158, as well as other letters like 158E, D, G, etc.

Who thought that was a good idea!?!?


My best guess here is that, because my house doesn't have numbers (and the landlord doesnt want to put any on. i've asked) the uber eats person gets confused and gives up. I'm assuming these are for 911, next door, because next door is an airbnb.

I don't mind the number/letter system at my complex too much because it makes sense. I do take issue with delivery drivers who are like "Yeah I see 265 H, I, J, K but I don't see C" - like, do you know how the alphabet works, my friend?

Still, I have lived here for 7 years! this is the first time its happened, and now its happened twice. Maybe uber eat's map software is misconfigured?

Try ordering it for yourself and see where it goes. :)

Uber should record the GPS location of where the driver is when they hit "delivered" and pass that on to the customer. I mean they probably record the location already, they just need to pass it on.
