I meant to do this last week, but last Wednesday snuck up on me, and I just didn't feel like it. But I'm ready to put together my year in reading review. Or whatever I wanna call it.

This year (2021) I read:
79 comics and
22 books (counting the sellout, which I am still reading in 2022. Also, I am counting poetry books as books)

That brings my total this year to 101.

My favorite this year was probably In Defense of Ska by Aaron Carnes. It has a lot of flaws, but I loved it anyway (much like how I love ska). My favorite comic was Barbalien: Red Planet by Jeff Lemire (Author), Tate Brombal (Author)

===========

And a look at the past, to see how my reading compares. It seems like I've been slowly reading more books and less comics. Its hard to compare comics to books, since they have a lot more pictures and a lot less words.

2020 -
21 book-books, and
106 comics.
total of 127

2019 [i started at the end of jan, so it wasnt a full year, but i wanted to tally it anyway]
17 books
106 comics
total of 123

And yes, I double checked my math. Inexplicably, I've read the same amount of comics in 2019 and 2020. Thats unexpected! I'm sure there's a dupe or a miscount somewhere, but maaaan i dont care.
