Back on graphic novels until I get my next book club book tomorrow.

What have you finished reading?

Ain't Burned All the Bright by Jason Reynolds (Author), Jason Griffin (Illustrator) - This book is about the pandemic, and its art is GORGEOUS. At first, I had assumed it was digital, but its all analog art. It touches on both the BLM 2020 protests and the beginning of the pandemic. It captures the fear and uncertainty well. Idk its a good one.

Neil Gaiman's Chivalry by Neil Gaiman (Author), Colleen Doran (Illustrator) - A woman finds the holy grail at her thift store. An knight of the round table tries to get her to give it to him. Short and sweet, and the art was gorgeous.

Friday, Book One: The First Day of Christmas by Ed Brubaker (Author), Marcos Martin (Artist), Muntsa Vicente (Artist) - A mystery comic I didn't think I'd enjoy, but I actually liked a lot. The basic idea is what would happen to some serialized mystery solving kids once they become adults.

What are you currently reading?

Oak Flat: A Fight for Sacred Land in the American West by Lauren Redniss (Author) - Not exactly a graphic novel, but also not-not a graphic novel. its about indigenous resistance to save native land. I had actually been to the area which helps.
