Oak Flat: A Fight for Sacred Land in the American West by Lauren Redniss (Author) - I don't know why it has taken me so long to read this. Thus far its gone over the history of the land, first with the indigenous people that it belongs to, as well as the US. There is a huge copper mine underneath their sacred lands which is why the US has express interest to give it to mining companies.
