What are you currently reading?

The Cat Who Turned On and Off by Lilian Jackson Braun - This dad needs some fluff. And what is fluffier than TWO CAT DETECTIVES AND A DUDE WITH A MAGICAL MUSTACHE SOLVING MYSTERIES?????/ Like, I s2g, these books are just phenomenally ridiculous. I love them. They're so stupid. This one doesn't have as much cat action as I'd prefer, but Qwill's mustache sure is getting a workout.

read a "cat who..." mystery. The first one i read was "the cat who moved a mountain" but Im also fond of "the cat who lived high"

they are so so dumb. the writing isnt great. theyre so stupid and fun

I like stupid and fun that knows what it is.

Theres a part of me that wonders how this woman truly thought of her work (she passed away in 2012 iirc). The main character certainly reads like she wrote what she considered her perfect man. And later in the series it seems she may have wrote herself in as a love interest

but gods, who cares. im not here for anything even remotely challenging. i'm here for murder and cats and mustaches.
