I'm updating tonight because Nate gets in tomorrow so I won't have the space. I suppose I could always update on the ipad but i dont like doing that.

At any rate, last weekend was p chill, which'll be nice because this weekend will have a lot going on.

sxsw is a double-edged sword. the city gets overrun (when i got groceries Sunday night, the lines were insane. it was 11pm) and traffic is terrible. But there's usually some good free stuff if you keep your ear to the ground.

At any rate, Friday I did sabrina's hair, although I used a bleach+toner instead of just bleach like i usually do. it didnt turn out as bright as it using just bleach does. so i know that. but her hair really rejected it. idk. ill use quick blue next time. It was nice to see her and catch up.

oh Friday i also got my retainer fixed. i s2g if this happens one more time, imma just get it removed.

saturday I saw cecelia and got her her loaf of christmas cranberry bread, but it turns out its probably freezer burnt! Bah! Well it looks like these puppies only last a couple of months in the freezer. At any rate, we met up at the brewtorium and had a good time catching up. Saturday night Z spent with his friends, so I just hung out at the house. It was kind of nice. I got some chores done, but also just listened to music and chilled.

Sunday Z and I went to oddwood and the pinthouse pizza to get some new beers we hadn't had. Afterwards, we hit up a Savers because Z wanted to look for jeans. Then we watched the wrestling ppv with David. the ppv was fine, but the plot points generally underwhelming.

As expected last weekend was better on the diet, which was a plus.

Yesterday I went to a show at Kick Butt coffee. It was, well, id say it was the dead boys, but realistically it was a couple of members from the dead boys, and a new front person. But it was a pretty fun show! I didnt make any friends though. Not really. Two of the dudes selling ghost wolves merch talked to me a little, but i didnt wanna distract them from selling stuff anyway. The three opening bands were good. Well, okay, first one east side suicides was kind of annoying. they had a front man who just seemed kinda annoying. so, i get the 77 punk aesthetic of not enunciating your words, but idk if their songs have lyrics?? and the dude kept acting like he was gonna throw his mic stand, full force, into the crowd, sort of revelling in the fact that people were flinching. it was p fucking annoying. the other two bands were really good and id probably check out a show again just to see them. it was ghost wolves and the pistollers. At any rate, I got home at like 1:30am, but I was drunk and wanted to sober up a little. Between that and daylight savings, i got to sleep at like 3am.

the time change has kicked my ass this time around. ive just been so groggy. but wired when bedtime comes.

silks class today was so-so. some newbs showed up so the class was a bit dumbed down. theyre actually gonna do something to prevent this. instead of having intro, 1, 2, etc. theyre just gonna have 1, 2, 3 and give everyone a bump. theres some confusion if people should go to intro or not, so people just waltz into my class and they dont have any experience. oh well. whatever. the change comes in april, so until then...

That catches me up. but i have a lot coming up. Nate (of destroy nate allen) is staying with me tomorrow through the weekend. it should be fun. Friday he's playing a show that I'mma go to. Saturday theres a crayfish boil at blackstar and PARTY WORLD RASSLIN. Sunday i should see gideon and sarah and imma check out flatstock (sxsw thing. artists selling prints n stuff. its cool). monday after that is an Everything is Terrible thing basically with found footage of christian shit and im p stoked about it.

so yeah, lots of fun stuff coming up. i guess ill post about it then. until then~
