Sep. 18th, 2018 10:39 pmOkay, i p much /have/ to make two entries tonight.
First the public one.
Z is quitting support and got a full time gig at the brewery! I knew he would get it and I knew he was finally ready to accept change. But, as such, we're in a huge period of change right now.
We started cleaning! hahaha this is /so/ me, but I'm glad he played along. we made some room in the closet by getting rid of brewing bottles (he has access to a kegging system now) and paints that were dried up.
We have a big ole lovesac- its a giant beanbag-esque chair, but its filled with foam instead. Well, we caught Blue peeing on it a couple times and it still was gross. So we had the idea to flip it over.
THAT WAS A BAD IDEA.
Turned out, Blue had peed on it A LOT and it all sinks to the bottom. It was /fowl/. the whole house smelled TERRIBLE.
So we have this XXL beanbag thing and we have to get it out of the house and into the trash. My smart ass decides to just cut the thing open, and put the foam, in, say 5 or 7 garbage bags and throw it out over the course of the month
THAT WAS ALSO A BAD IDEA.
It took, like, 20 garbage bags. I am not lying. But finally we got that damn thing in the fucking trash and now we just have a big open space. We're gonna get a kitchen table and put it there. Then we can do puzzles (!!!) and board games. Also, it'll be good seating for parties.
So yeah. hah. scooping up foam from that damn thing took 4 days.
Friday not much happened. Sabrina came by and they took the cat tower. I got rid of it cuz it was basically never used. I thought I could re-arrange the platforms to something the cats liked, but it basically could only be set up one way. Looks like their cats are getting much more use out of it.
Saturday silks class was hard and kind of discouraging. But thats okay. Sometimes I'm just gonna struggle, or have an off day.
That afternoon Z and I picked up Paul and checked out a brewery in San Antonio that he wanted to check out called cactus land. We met Ben and Kristy and their new little baby there. The beers there were so-so. Z had kinda hyped their NE IPAs and they were thoroughly meh. But some of the other beers were good. I really liked the gose they had. and they had a prickly pear beer that was pretty good too. It was nice to see ben and kristy. After the brewery just the 3 of us got supper and then went home.
Sunday was our (wedding) anniversary, but it started with football. Ask your doctor if your heart is healthy enough for packers games because oh my god that was a ride. AGAIN.
After that, Z and I went to the brewers table for supper. It was really good. And the first fancy food in years that didnt give me indigestion (lol). I was a little annoyed that we had a reservation and they stuck us at the bar, but whatever. Their beers were all really solid. I'd go again (but for lunch. supper was spendy/fancy).
silks tonight went really well and it was pretty encouraging, i feel strong. i feel good. i wanna ride this high.
Oh and tonight is our dating anniversary. 5 years together now. It only keeps getting better! (maybe i could write about our anniversaries sometime and how i feel, because i have been reflecting a lot on it lately. But mostly im just happy and I can't wait for more)
Theresa comes in tomorrow, which is why I gotta write this out now. Thankfully that newly opened spot in the middle of the living room is a great spot for the air mattress! I don't know exactly what we'll be doing this week and weekend. I know she's here for a blogger's conference. Z works at the brewery Saturday, but thats about it. (although I thought he said he was working Friday too? so idk!) Z goes full time at the brewery Oct 1st.
well thats about it for now. i need to get on the Friends only entry tho. I guess I could do it tomorrow if i take an early lunch. gods. so much to write but not enough time.
