Dec. 26th, 2018 04:20 pmHey ho. Just updating. How're yall doing? Hope the holidays were okay enough.
Mine was okay. Work last week was so slow. But I felt like I had senioritis. I couldn't focus on anything. I took off Friday, since I needed to spend my floating holiday anyway.
We drove out to east texas. It wasn't a bad drive. We got in and saw Shane, and went out to Justin's to share beers and do a bonfire. We did that a lot. There isn't much else to do out there.
Saturday we ran around looking for pants for Z, cuz he only brought one pair of pants and the zipper broke. We went to the FUCKING MALL. oh my god, their mall is so depressing! its hilarious! I stole a sign. I felt like a teenager. God east texas sucks so much.
Sunday we were gonna go home, but we were having a fire and drinking beers and we decided to stay one more night if the cat sitter was cool with it. She was, so we stayed. like i hate it out there, but i do miss bonfires and just chillin with pals.
Shane, my brother in law, seems to be doing a lot better. Last time I saw him, he was saying some pretty yikes-y stuff. I don't ever expect him to not be a bit of an edgelord (maybe i've lowered my standards) but I do want him to, like, not completely suck. I'm glad he's cooled his jets there and also just seems to be okay.
Monday we swung by the parents' place. Mom is a travel nurse so they arent there. The house felt so... un-lived in. it was sad. we got what we needed and scooted. it made me miss them a whole bunch tho. I really like my in-laws.
I was ready to head home by then. so we came home Monday evening. And its been p chill since.
We've been taking care of my friend's cat, Lydia. She's a very good kitty.
Christmas was low-key. Just Z and I. We watched how to train your dragon and raw. He got me more stuff than I got him. I did good for everyone except him. I kept thinking I'd come up with something for him, but couldn't. I will hopefully make it up to him for his birthday (its in February so I don't have too long)
I'm looking for a car. I'm p pumped about that. Just something mostly so I can get back and forth from the gym without paying lyft each time. I'm oddly excited to have /my own/ car again. I haven't had my own car since... well technically the ford escort became mine, but it was Chris'. Before that it was my little red honda civic. that was before i lived in fuckin chicago. damn.
today I mostly just cleaned the house. I am going to the wrestling school tonight. So I'm a little nervous. I don't really know what to expect, but i need to work off the holiday beer pounds anyway lol.
