what are you reading wednesday?

What have you finished reading:

My Favorite Thing Is Monsters by Emil Ferris - I'll keep this vague, since i think sabotabby will wind up reading this one, but the girl is trying to figure out a neighbors death that absolutely is fishy. As you learn more about the neighbor it keeps getting good. it sort of bounces back between the protagonists life, and then learning more about this victims life. the book, of course, ends on a cliffhanger and i can't wait for the sequel.

What are you reading:

The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman - We're back on the atheist narnia train. we start in a world, which i guess is like our world where people dont have daemons. this kid will winds up finding a rift between worlds and meets lyra. lyra says his daemon is on the inside, so i guess daemons are like, your soul or spirit or something? Then the story moves to the perspective of the witches, some are helping the bad guys and some are helping the good guys i guess. ive been sleepy lately so i haven't read as much as id like.
