Oct. 28th, 2019 10:11 pmHey! I wanted to post yesterday but it kind of got away from me.
Yesterday the weather was so crummy. We wanted to go to the other side of dinosaur national monument but by the time we got into Colorado it was snowy and windy and dreadful. We went around taking pictures of all the novelty Dino signs. Then we went to the hotel room to watch some football.
A little into the browns game we were bored and Z was doing the math. He wanted to go to fantasy canyon but couldn’t do it if we didn’t go today. The snow had calmed down and it was in the other direction anyway. So we went there. This place was wayyyy in the middle of nowhere in a bunch of oil fields. Dirt roads about half the way. Thankfully we had a truck otherwise I think i we’d’ve got stuck. So this place had no trail markers really. We keep not finding the way. It looks real cool. I have no clue how the geology got like this. Looks like a dragon melted the whole area. Anyway we eventually find the path but the ground isn’t rock. It’s mud. And it’s been snowing. And we keep slipping and sliding in the mud and snow trying to see this place. I’d say we saw half of it and then gave up and went back to the car.
Today we left Vernal and went to grand junction Colorado. We went to Colorado National monument. We did a lot of hikes. My favorite was the devils kitchen.
Tomorrow we should be going to mcinnis canyon national park.
I guess that’s it for now!
