Couldn't sleep again. Thats okay. I think this time its because I'm cold. I think its time to bring down the winter comforter.

Last weekend, while I'm still nervous about it, went about as well as it could. We stayed with Landon and Tessa still, and Tessa is teaching in a school, which means, you know, she could catch covid anytime. But I don't think we did anything to exacerbate the chances of getting sick. We got up there Thursday evening.

Friday we were kind of lazy till Aaron got there. His wife is a teacher too. We thought Paul, /another/ teacher, was also coming, but he did not. We did go out for supper that evening, and that place was CROWDED. we ate outside, but i had no clue how, legally, that place could be packed like it was. That was easily the most nerve-wracking thing we did this weekend.

Saturday we met up with Phil and Amanda and went to dinosaur valley state park. Paul was supposed to meet up with us, but it never worked out. We got to see a bunch of dinosaur tracks which is really cool. Sometimes, the water is too high to see them, but the water was low which was nice. You can just wade out and stand in dinosaur tracks. Its really neat. We hiked for maybe a couple of miles. I'd love to do some more hiking out there at some point.

Sunday we watched the first 3 quarters of the cowboys game. they were down 41 to 14 lol so we were like, lets just head out and we'll listen to the rest on the radio. It wound up actually almost being a close game, but i kind of like listening to football on the radio anyway. It really makes you use your imagination, and also the commentators like, do their job which is nice.

I really disliked the way this weekend was handled, still. i think we could have done some things different, considering the pandemic and all. still, sometimes i feel like i get the worst of both worlds. Z wants to take more risks, but i catch of a lot of grief from friends who think i do too much. They're like afraid to even go outside, even with a mask. science says outside is relatively safe, and the weather is (finally) nice. i know the only truly safe thing is to just stay inside. but our government has failed us, and we are social creatures. idk. im just tired of feeling personally gaslit on both sides. i guess i just need to not take it personally. if our government hadn't just thrown us to the wolves, things would be different.

Anyway, to continue my year of magical girl anime, I finished She-ra last week or so. I don't think its as good as like avatar or steven universe, but i thought it was good. I was worried the relationships were just going to be queer coded the whole damn time. But I'm glad that Something Gay Finally Happened.

I started revolutionary girl utena a few weeks ago. Its, also, been very good, although pretty twisted and fucked up. Like, it comes with all the trigger warnings. But damn is it good.

I went to trader joes for pumpkin shit on Tuesday. I still feel incredibly uncomfortable in grocery stores. It wasn't super crowded or anything, but it wasn't empty either. Honestly, I felt anxious in grocery stores before the pandemic anyway. I mean, whatever, i got some pumpkin things, so thats what matters lol

OH MAN I almost forgot. My fucking insurance only covers new glasses every other year. I am So MAD. Like my other glasses were IN A CAR ACCIDENT, MORONS. Insurance has no wiggle room, as to be expected. So I got refunded and I'll just buy some online I guess. I'm kind of disappointed though.

Anyway, if you want to help me pick out some glasses (ill probably get 2 pair) I've whittled it down to the following 4:
