Feb. 10th, 2021 08:42 amWhat have you finished reading?
Nothing.
What are you currently reading?
The Secret Commonwealth by Philip Pullman - So I guess this /r/atheism type rant is for a reason. Pan thinks Lyra has lost her imagination, and seems to be inferring that being an atheist doesn't mean that you have to be cold hard le logic, facts, and reason all the time. Lyra meets with Malcolm (who rescued her as a baby) and he also has a daemon that can separate, but they don't hate each other like Pan and Lyra do. There seems to be some kind of secret society revolving around the murder Pan saw and seems to also be related to daemon separation. It seems Malcolm is in love with Lyra which is so so fking creepy I almost put the book down. Shes 20, at least. but Mal was also a professor over her in the past, on top of being 11 years apart. Its just icky.
