What have you finished reading?

Psychogynecology by Wendy Lee Spacek - the last poem was really good. I'll ship this back to A soon.


What care you currently reading?

The Gulf: The Making of An American Sea by Jack E. Davis (Author) - a lot of early history about the gulf and how it was discovered and mapped by spanish colonizers in the 1500s

Sprint: How to Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just Five Days by Jake Knapp - decision making and story boarding. i still feel like this book is pretty pie-in-the-sky and kind of worthless for us but whatever.

I was listening to a podcast earlier today about psychedelics and I first read that title as psychedelic gynecology--I thought that was a wild avenue of inquiry!! Don't drink the water of life, Jessica!!

the poetry definitely had themes of sex and gender and what it meant to the author, although a little bit ... idk... amateurish at times. however, everyone starts somewhere and lord knows my poetry isn't exactly going to be perfect if/when i first release either.

I need to get back into reading poetry, but it's hard to know where to start because I feel like poetry is so personal in a way that most other writing isn't, so it's very hit or miss whether you'll connect with it.

I think its perfect to start with anthologies and ear mark various poets you relate to! Or go into book stores and reading a couple poems before you buy. But yeah, its deeply personal and and varies between folks a lot!
