What have you finished reading?

Nothin'

What are you currently reading?

The Invisible Gorilla by Christopher Chabris and Daniel Simons - The last chapter is about how we want to think we're smarter than we are, and how also we want to think there's easy ways to boost our intelligence. It talks about IQ a lot though and thats frustrating because IQ is mostly terrible for gauging overall intelligence.

Blue Nights by Joan Didion - I was hoping to finish this, but I had to hop back to the work book club book. There's a ton of introspection about her late daughter's adoption. Its an interesting insight into how adoption went back in the day. Its triggered a lot of my own feelings about a lot of my past. Its been a great read ofc.

Also, isn't the upshoot of all of it that... people who are experienced in something are relatively good at estimating their competence, it's mainly just beginners who overestimate it? So it's more that... we learn through experience than "if you think you are good at something, you're secretly bad at it!!!"
