whats up? Ive been... Ive been.
Like the news sucks and everything is fucked. Idk just feeling it lately. Im sure everyone is. But my journal is an escape from that, at least temporarily where I can just type about myself and stuff.
Im planning a short jaunt to Oklahoma over labor day weekend. Im honestly really excited about it. I havent seen Clay, Abby, nor Nadia in a long time. It'll be really nice. And I could use another vacation, longer than just 1 day off lol. and my utah trip is too far away.
Work is bad. Just we're having to learn a crash-course in another software we bought and then we're just merging the two support systems together. Its going to be a wild, terrible ride. And we're on another wave of upgrades which is just... UGH.
My AC is fucked. the temp, with heat index, is 108. The backroom AC still works, but not the living room/kitchen/office front room. Its getting fixed tomorrow but my god its fucking terrible. After I write this, I'll go in the back and play gameboy.
Lets see. Oh so, fucked up disney movies. I thought Bambi was bad? Dumbo is a fucking TRIP. Literally the elephant gets DRUNK? Theres a fucking acid trip? ( i wish i tripped when i drank? or maybe no. lol) there is racist af crows on LITERALLY NAMED JIM CROW. What the ever loving fuck, disney. Thats gonna be a yikes from me, dawg.
Friday Landon and Tessa were in town, we met up at Aaron and Alys to have the most decadent cheese board. She just pulled the damn thing together all haphazardly too. it was just beautiful. Z never got cut from work early, and theyre both parents that get up early, so I went home around 11.
Saturday was Z and I's party. It started rocky because traffic was terrible and we were late to pinthouse pizza. But who cares? We made it. We bought ice for the beer (fuck ICE). I was honestly surprised by how many people made it to PHP! I got presents, got pizza, started drinking. I sort of had to hover around different sides of the table to make sure I saw every one. I got guillotine earrings which is so, so my goddamn mood. biggest mood.
Uh from there we went down to the greenbelt to swim and it was really nice. it was hot, but the water was cool, and it was overcast which was nice for, like, not needing a ton of sun screen. Honestly as stuff was winding down and the sun was setting i was just really happy.
We went back to my place for beers. Uh, well i didnt have a lot in the fridge i could open. And uh one of my bottles for sharing was BAD lol. Z crashed so it was a little weird till Landon and Aaron came and brought a bunch of beers to save the day! yay! It was a nice time, although honestly it seemed like all swimmers were tired from swimming and drinking.
Sunday we were supposed to do brunch but everyone felt bad and they didnt. I got up early cuz, yanno thats what i do when i drink, i get up early. but they decided to leave early and not go out to eat. Z was mega hung over. he got up once at noon and slept again till like 2. no brunch for me. i just did nothing all day. it wasnt awful but. idk. fwiw i could have done something myself but i never found the thing that sounded like the right speed.
That was my weekend. And this week has just been low key. Minus the AC dying its been CHILL lol. but also like, everything is fucked. the world is fucked. capitalism is killing everyone and everything. you know. all that. Z has been frustrated with his job stuff. Hes going to move to another brewery, but not doing what he wants i guess. they arent ready for a new cellarperson yet, but hell bartend and run food. which. whatever i guess. hes been down about it. ive been down about ... idk the world i guess. but its ok. ill be ok. well be okay.
just need to get offline more and read more to get my mind off stuff. So on that note, I think im done here. yay escapism. cya.
oh and football is almost back. we have the preseason. thats nice. yay more escapism
