What have you finished reading?

Black Science Volume 6: Forbidden Realms and Hidden Truths, Black Science Volume 7: Extinction is the Rule, and Black Science Volume 8: Later Than You Think by Rick Remender (Author), Matteo Scalera (Artist), Moreno Dinisio (Artist) - the super hero kids basically get blasted to a negative black matter universe while saving the planet. But this dimension gets all messed up anyway, every dimension seems to be. They find themselves in a time loop of exploring universes to find their kids and people keep trying to stop them Eventually they get out of this loop by coming back together, and getting a tool that pierces all dimensions to get to the "center of the onion". But even those dimensions keep getting messed up. Then their kids find them.

Lame Deer, Seeker of Visions by Richard Erdoes (Author), John (Fire) Lame Deer (Author) - This was Lara's favorite book and was gifted to me at my wedding reception back home. I hadn't read it, so I am now reading it to feel close to her. Also, since I am going to be travelling, I'm not going to carry comics. I'll be bringing books with me instead.

At any rate, this is a true story of a Sioux medicine man. I imagine he was born around the turn of the 1900s, and the white man basically fucked everything up, as per usual, and its about his life, and their culture as a whole. I feel like this book uses a lot of anglicized phonetic spellings, but it was also written in the 1970s. So far, its been hard to put down. My biggest critique is it mentions a lot of blood quantum stuff that, while I'm not native, is still p icky.

Blood quantum is such a weird concept. To my knowledge it's just...not a thing here, although white people still fake being Indigenous all the time. But that book sounds good; I've heard of it before.
