Push Start to Translate: This Is What Happens When You Let a Computer Translate a Video Game? by Clyde Mandelin - This was a delight to read. Just really silly and made me laugh out loud a lot. I only wish it had been longer because I am *still* missing it. If you like languages, or old school RPGs I can't recommend it enough.

Fatale, Vol. 1: Death Chases Me and Vol. 2: Devils Business by Ed Brubaker (Author), Sean Phillips (Artist), Dave Stewart (Artist) - This is a horror/noir about a woman who, like, never ages and everyone falls in love with. she is the only woman in the entire first book and... idk. i didnt love it. it was fine? but also just sort of boring. its supposed to have very lovecraftian horror, but other than slapping some tentacles on a monster, it felt humdrum.

Shark Drunk: The Art of Catching a Large Shark from a Tiny Rubber Dinghy in a Big Ocean
Book by Morten Strøksnes - I mean, the title says it all. Apparently the weather and sea off the shore of Norway is rarely calm, so this is the one time they can go out. Its a very slow paced book, talking first about the history of fishing/whaling in the area, talking about ships, history of the norweigan islands in the arctic. stuff like that. Theyre hunting greenland sharks which are not endangered. ive actually eaten it before, although theyre basically inedible. it just tastes like ammonia.
