what are you reading wednesday?
Aug. 28th, 2019 10:46 amWhat have you finished reading?:
The Backstagers Vol. 3 by Tynion IV, James (Author), Sam Johns (Author), Walter Baiamonte Rian Sygh (Illustrator), Brittney Williams (Illustrator), Caitlin Rose Boyle (Illustrator), Katy Farina (Illustrator) - Not much to say that I hadn't already said. There were a lot of like 4 page shorts, which I kind of hate, but it was still very gay, very cute, and very good.
East of West Volume 9 by Jonathan Hickman (Author), Nick Dragotta (Artist) - This is, like, a sci fi post apocalyptic western. its really good, although it has a lot of one liners that seems like the writer is just agonizing over every phrase uttered. it seems like things are coming together for an ending. But we'll see. This story is just vague enough that they could drag it out.
Black Road Volume 2: A Pagan Death by Brian Wood (Author), Garry Brown (Artist), Dave McCaig (Artist) - the other half of the pagan christian viking comic. It was good, but not as much as i enjoyed starve. which is funny, with the first two volumes i liked black road better. haha.
Deadly Class Volume 8: Never Go Back by Rick Remender (Author), Wes Craig (Artist), Jordan Boyd (Artist) - yeah i think this is a syfy show or something now. kids in assassin school. its the 80s. look at all these references. remender is so good at being broody and it fits with the high school angst.
