Today we drove into arches. We said it was going to be an easy day but we hiked more than we did yesterday lol. We saw a bunch of arches. My favorite was the sand dune arch which was sort of in between these finds all tucked away and it was so sandy. We did the full loop which was such a cool hike into the desert to see broken arch and then tapestry arch. After the arches we loop back down into a canyon. It was just so cool and pink and it was the golden hour which was p cool.

We had an idea to do these 4wd roads to some other arches but we were losing light and the road seemed dicey.

Tomorrow we will hopefully actually take it easy. We’re going to canyonlands National Park.

But Don’t worry. We’re in Moab for a week and we’re definitely going back into arches for a few different long hikes.

Today we tired to take it easy at canyonlands National Park. But like and behold we did another 6 miles anyway. We did a hike to a place called the upheaval done. It’s this huge creator and inside is just this bizarre pastel rainbow of minerals. They think it was caused by a meteor. It’s really rad.

Everything else was very pretty! We’re sore though. We’re going to canyonlands tomorrow too but we’re hoping to take it easier. Sunday we’re going back into arches to do a guided hike through the fiery furnace. Monday and Tuesday we’ll be in arches too. Idk what we’re doing Wednesday yet. That’ll be our last day out here.

Looks like I might get in bed at a more reasonable time today. Yesterday it was past midnight and I was so sleepy.

The hostel we’re staying at reminds me of the old commune I used to live in, just in a smaller scale. z is getting used to it too which is nice. The walls here are paper fucking thin tho. I can hear every conversation ever. The white noise app on my phone is working overtime.

Beth texted me about stupid work shit and it was nice to just lol and lol. Not my fucking problem. Yay!
